Steven Hayes, PhD
Steven C. Hayes, Ph.D Clinical Psychology, West Virginia University, Morgantown, is a Foundation Professor of Psychology at the University of Nevada. An author of 44 books and nearly 600 scientific articles, he is known for his work on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a widely used and researched method of psychological and behavioral intervention, and Relational Frame Theory, a comprehensive empirical research program on human language and cognition. Dr. Hayes has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy, and is among the most cited psychologists in the word.
Jeffrey Kottler, PhD
JEFFREY KOTTLER, PhD, is the author of 80 books including a dozen texts for counsellors and therapists that are used in universities around the world, and many classics for practicing therapists and educators. Some of his most highly regarded works include: On Being a Therapist, The Client Who Changed Me, Divine Madness, Changing People’s Lives While Transforming Your Own, and more recently, The Assassin and the Therapist: An Exploration of Truth in Psychotherapy and in Life and Creative Breakthroughs in Therapy: Tales of Transformation and Astonishment. Dr. Kottler has served as a Fulbright Scholar and Senior Lecturer in Peru, Thailand, and Iceland, as well as worked as a Visiting Professor in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Nepal. Jeffrey is currently Professor of Counselling in the Department at California State University, Fullerton. He has also co-founded Empower Nepali Girls (www.EmpowerNepaliGirls.org) which provides educational scholarships for lower caste girls at-risk in Nepal.
Mary Goulding, MSW
Mary Goulding, MSW, is one of the leading exponents of Transactional Analysis. Along with her husband Robert Goulding, she developed an approach called Redecision therapy which synthesizes Transactional Analysis and Gestalt. Together they founded the Western Institute for Group and Family Therapy in Watsonville, California, and co-authored two professional books about their approach. There is also an edited volume about the Redecision model. Mary has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Transactional Analysis Association and is a Teaching Member of that organization. Her M.S.W. was granted in 1960 from the School of Social Welfare, University of California, Berkeley.
Claudio Naranjo, MD
CLAUDIO NARANJO, MD, studied medicine, music, and served internship at the Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Chile. Presently, he is Program Coordinator and instructor at an integrative psycho- spiritual school called SAT Institute, which operates in Europe and in Latin America. He is President of the Claudio Naranjo Foundation for the promotion of Holistic Education.
