Owner – Active Day Trader: Jonathan Rose
Jonathan Rose started his career in 1998 on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where he became a pioneer in computer-based trading and played a crucial role in providing liquidity to the nascent Globex market. After five years of trading Nasdaq Futures, he was recruited by a technology-focused Fixed Income trading firm.
From 2003 to 2010, Jonathan was one of four Senior Partners at a proprietary trading firm in Chicago. Joining as the 6th employee, he rose to the position of Director of Futures Trading. In this role, he managed all proprietary trading operations, led a team of over 15 traders, and oversaw the performance of a trading floor with 60+ traders. He personally trained more than 30 traders in all aspects of Fixed Income trading.
From 2010 to 2013, Jonathan served as an Equity Options Market Maker on the CBOE, managing his own portfolio and actively trading over 100 stocks concurrently.
In 2014, he joined a private Family Office (Hedge Fund) in the Chicago suburbs, collaborating with the investment team to design and implement a pair trading investment strategy focused on Closed End Funds. He also supports other firm strategies, emphasizing business development.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Miami, FL, with a B.S. in 1997 and is a 2015 Level 2 CFA Candidate. An avid athlete, he completed the Madison Ironman in 2011 and has run four marathons in the past four years. In his free time, he enjoys being with his wife, two sons, and playing guitar.
