One of the best, most practical REI books I’ve read
First, I want to make something clear to you. If you are excited about becoming wealthy through real estate, good. Keep that motivation going forever. If you think you can read one book or pay for one seminar and become a millionaire the next week then you have yourself fooled. Real estate investing is a lifetime process that requires significant cash reserves and a whole lot of knowledge. Take the author’s advice that “if you overthink it you wont do it and you’ll fail” but also read many RE investing books, join a REI club, constantly look at property, and build a team of realtors/contractors ect.
That said, “Are you dumb enough to be rich” is one of my favorite REI books. It is practical right down to the best way to buy paint. Many of the REI books I read are vague and only have bits and pieces of useful material. This book is not one of them. I read it twice and enjoyed it very much. I appreciate the substance of it and I really like his style. It even made me laugh a few times. In my opinion it ties with Dolf de Roos’ “Real Estate Riches” for the best REI books out there. You won’t be disappointed.
Good luck!
