We’ll discuss chicken breeds and egg size, colour, and production, and the considerations to be aware of with regards to chicken coops, such as materials, cost, location, etc. You’ll also learn what is required to raise happy, healthy baby chicks and how to care for adult chickens – looking at everything from feed to footcare.
The result of all your work (along with the enjoyment of the chickens themselves) – eggs! We’ll familiarise you with the process of collecting, cleaning, storing, and hatching eggs, along with the basic do’s and don’ts of egg care. We’ll also look at how to go about selling eggs – the basics of the laws and regulations, packing, and advertising.
