What Will You Learn?
Learn about the Wheel of the Year, the Sabbats (festivals) of this annual cycle, and the Pagan practices that accompany them. Discover the meaning of each Sabbat and how to celebrate. Gain insights into the correspondences of the different Sabbats and the God or Goddess relating to each festival. You will also discover how to perform spellcraft relating to each Sabbat using rituals and recipes.
Discover the history of the Wheel of the Year and how it formed the ancient Celtic calendar. Learn the dates of the Sabbats for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and examine the Witch Hunter’s demonisation of these celebrations.
Each of the eight Sabbats of the Wheel of the Year will be discussed in turn. We’ll start with the festivals of Imbolc and Ostara. You will learn fire scrying, how to cleanse your witchcraft tools and how to perform an inner child ritual.
Next in the Wheel of the Year course is Beltane and Litha. For Beltane, you will discover the legend around the Green Man and make a May Queen head garland. As Litha is the summer solstice, you’ll learn to welcome the morning sun and create a psychic dream pouch.
You’ll explore the festivals of Lughnasadh and Mabon. The course guides you in baking Lughnasadh bread, holding a witch’s thanksgiving, discovering high places and blending incense.
The Wheel of the Year Diploma Course concludes with a look at the festivals of Samhain and Yule. You’ll learn how to host a dumb supper and how to make a witch’s ball.
