KimochisĀ® KEY.MO.CHEE means “feeling” in Japanese.
This engaging 90-minute training is designed for professionals who are seeking social-emotional learning tools on the KimochisĀ® social-emotional program and want to learn how to personalize the tools for their professional site and needs. The KimochisĀ® characters and feelings lessons will be outlined to demonstrate how to help children learn to understand and regulate their feelings, understand the emotions of others, and establish and maintain healthy social relationships.
In addition, you will learn about the KimochisĀ® Keys to Communication. These Keys help children to listen, speak and act in ways that promote positive behavior and social interactions. At the completion of this workshop, you will feel prepared to introduce the KimochisĀ® program in social skills groups, clinical settings and/or as a safe, strong, and mutually respectful prevention and intervention tool!

Ellen Pritchard Dodge, MEd, CCC-SLP
Ellen Pritchard Dodge, M.ED, CCC-SLP, is a recognized leader in character education and communication skills in the classroom. Ellen has published numerous books and articles and has given over 400 workshops for both parents and educators. Ellenās interactive workshop style and effective communication strategies and passion for raising childrenās social and emotional intelligence makes her a sought after speaker. Ellen has extensively taught in public schools in Northern California where her communication curriculum won a National Character Education award. Ellen with Dr. William Pollack, author of Real Boys, collaborated to create classrooms that are academically and socially engaging for boys through Supporting Our Sons. Since 2008, she has been the educational director and curriculum author for Kimochisā¦Toys with Feelings InsideĀ® and was named to Parenting Magazineās Editorial Advisory Board for 2013.
