Meet the Experts
Jamie Otremba, MSN, RN, CNM, has over 25 years of maternal child nursing experience and is currently practicing full-scope nurse-midwifery at a progressive OB/GYN clinic in suburban Minnesota. She has consulted for area healthcare facilities on clinical and legal practice topics, and she continues as an investigator for several medication trials pertinent to obstetric and gynecologic issues. Her goal is to provide you with the latest pharmacological options for pregnancy and birth to ultimately improve the maternal and fetal outcomes of your own patients.
Dawn M. Kersula, MA, RN, LCCE, FACCE, IBCLC, is a lactation specialist and perinatal educator who has worked with birthing and breastfeeding families for more than 30 years. As president of the Vermont Lactation Consultants Association, she works closely with the Vermont State Breastfeeding Network to offer training opportunities throughout the state and has had the opportunity to impact change through several legislative initiatives that have resulted in pro-breastfeeding legislation in Vermont.
Hilary Waller, MS, LPC, is a psychotherapist who specializes in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She is the director of education and programming at The Postpartum Stress Center outside of Philadelphia, which was founded by renowned perinatal expert Karen Kleiman and was listed in Philly Magazine as a “Center of Excellence” for Maternal/Fetal Care in 2008.
Caitlin Slavens, BAACS, MC, R Psych, is a registered psychologist, certified eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, and certified Theraplay professional. She has additional training in attachment parenting, play therapy, child-adolescent mental health, and trauma modalities. Caitlin has two little ones who keep her constantly on the go (with a large cup of coffee in her hand).
Chelsea Bodie, BSc, MACP, R Psych, is a registered psychologist and certified perinatal mental health professional (PMH-C) with training in perinatal mood disorders, birth trauma, perinatal grief and loss, and infertility. She also has training in play therapy and child-adolescent mental health. Chelsea is a mom of two little ones who also keep her busy as they get into mischief on the farm.
