Exploring the Essential Features of “Macroeconomics (2nd Ed.) – David Miles & Andrew Scott”
Why is the standard of living in some countries so much higher than in others? Why does unemployment sometimes rise sharply in a short time and what can governments do about it? When, if ever, should governments borrow to finance spending? Written with a strong global business focus, Miles and Scott’s Macroeconomics and the Global Business Environment, Second Edition examines fascinating, real-world economic issues, shows why these issues matter, and uses them as an entry point into advanced economic theory. Throughout, the authors present technical material clearly and accessibly, allowing you to develop a solid understanding of the global economy and how economists think about it.

Poorly Written
This was one of the worst text books I’ve read. The flow and structure is lacking and the calculation examples provided don’t correspond to the formulas in the text – making it nearly impossible to extract applicable uses for many calculations. Fortunately my professor provided extensive lecture notes.
If you are able to do so, I would pass on this book…not worth the money.

Difficult to understand
The concepts explained in this book are very difficult to understand. It has been selected for a course in economics at MBA level and the concepts in the book did not help at all to write the paper. The examples are not very clear and very confusing. I am not majoring in economics, but this book did not help me to better understand the topic.
