Opening and clearing your deepest, most basic connection to Spirit is at the heart of all true spiritual development, and is the true precursor to you experiencing joy, fulfillment, healing, loving relationships, and increased prosperity.
Most people reading this feel at least some connection to their Innermost Sacred Self, or else they wouldn’t be interested in what I’m doing at all. However, that connection may not be 100% open, dilated to its full potential. There may be many blocks in the way of realizing our true and full spiritual connection.
These blocks come from our karma — the large body of unresolved beliefs, energies, held situations, false identifications, and illusions we create and carry with us throughout our thousands of lifetimes, and even from the time of our soul’s initial creation. We also inherit these blocks from the unresolved issues of our ancestors.
The scheduled date for this clearing is important, as for this year, the night of March 8 is the sacred festival of Maha Shivaratri, the single most auspicious night of the year to invoke Shiva and receive his blessings of enlightenment.
In fact, my teacher says that by spending this night invoking Shiva, it is the equivalent spiritual evolution of spending 1 million years in meditation.
He says “Maha Shivaratri, or the “Great Night of Shiva”, is the once-a-year opportunity to invoke Shiva’s Grace during his descent to the earthplace for blessings of prosperity, fulfillment of wishes, removal of sins, curses, afflictions, and debts, and for spiritual evolution.”
Let me be clear here that “Shiva” is not a religious god that you have to convert to worshipping. We are not using the term Shiva in a religious sense. Shiva is the name given to the Inner Archetype within you and within all beings, that is the most fundamental aspect of Divine Consciousness. It is a name given to Source Itself. This night of Shiva is really the night to seek Source within yourself more deeply, and renew your commitment to progressively revealing Source within your own life.
The advantage of working with that particular being — Shiva — even if it’s not from your personal tradition, is in the power of participating in the remedies and rituals from the Vedic tradition that have been passed down to us over thousands of years. These rituals are highly spiritual, and tested by great yogis and rishis who had authentic open spiritual connections. Even when our conscious minds don’t understand the remedies, the rituals work on the deepest aspects of us — clearing, aligning, and opening up essential connections that are fundamental to our sense of spiritual connection.
