Exploring the Essential Features of “Ramesh Bjonnes – Beyond Mindfulness: Tools and Techniques of Tantric Meditation – Collection”
About
Course Description
There’s so much more to meditation than mindfulness. Robert Wright, a New York Times bestselling author on mindfulness meditation, wrote that he had his most blissful experience in meditation when practicing concentration meditation. In this course, you will learn how to both practice and teach yogic concentration meditation. And a whole lot more.
Indeed, there’s a lot more to meditation than mindfulness. While mindfulness practice is an integral part of traditional yogic forms of meditation, it is just one of several methods used. In both Tantra and other yogic paths, additional methods are employed to deepen the meditative experience and enter a state of concentrated flow and bliss.
The use of breath (pranayama), the withdrawal of the senses (pratyahara), the sonic vibration of mantras (mantra yoga), the focused attention and visualization of cakras (dharana), and flow meditation (dhyana) further aids us in moving our attention deeper—beyond mind and into consciousness.
In this course, you will learn the meditation techniques only philosophically described by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras by a teacher who learned them from Tantric yoga masters in India.
This hands-on course–which will give you both theoretical and practical knowledge–will instruct you in how you can teach these powerful and inspiring techniques to others. You will also receive recordings of the lessons taught, so that you can continue to refine and deepen your meditation and teachings skills at home.
Module 1: The Theory and Practice of Yogic Meditation
