Exploring the Essential Features of “Rintu Basu – Hypnotic Presentation Skills Deconstructed – Persuasion Skills 101”
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Hypnotic Presentation Skills Deconstructed about?
This is a multi-level training course that centres on Presentation Skills. It is presented in a similar vein to Persuasion Skills on Steroids. You get a lot of content that you can use straight out of the box in your presentations, but the real course is in the notes.
The notes for this course are just under 20 000 words. There is no transcript, so those are just notes deconstructing the course and giving you an inside track on what I am actually doing with the students.
It is based on a recording of a two day in-house corporate presentation skills course I ran for six students. I was tasked with helping the students to become more confident, get the message home and making the content more interesting or entertaining as well.
The overt course content is about developing your presentation skills including; how to structure your presentations for maximum effect, dealing with confidence and emotions, using your nonverbal behaviour to help your presentation, dealing with questions and delivering your message regardless of what else is going on in the room.
The covert course content which is deconstructed in the 20 000 words of notes will give you demonstrations of multiple ways of building rapport and taking covert control of your audience, reframing what ever people say to getting your message across, lots of covert trance inductions and the use of hypnotic language patterns in a live setting with a specific purpose.
Who is it for?
If you make presentations at whatever level you will find new tools, techniques and ideas in just the content of this course. But the real power comes when you look at the notes. You will find all of the persuasion strategies used on the course completely deconstructed. They are all laid bare for you to analyse and put back together for you to use whether speaking to groups or individuals. I even cover material about written presentations.
Obviously if you train, coach or present material then this course has a lot for you. But there is huge amount of material here for anyone that wants to develop their persuasive abilities. Here are a few of the applications that you could use material from this course for.
-  Leaders – Seal commitment using a hypnotic presentation structure
-  Parents – Use the coaching questions from this course to help your children develop massive self confidence
-  Teachers – Teach your class without them realising they are being taught
-  Trainers – Give your delegates the illusion of choice whilst staying completely on topic
-  Marketers – Use my article writing formula to draw people in hypnotically persuasive language
-  Coaches – A simple three question performance coaching model you can install at an unconscious level insuring consistent professional development
-  Networkers – Rapport techniques to ensure you are remembered long after the meeting has finished
-  Project Managers – Preframe your project to automatically generate buy in, good will and a desire to help
-  Job Seekers – Use your body language to take covert control of the interview and develop persuasive interview presentations
-  Politicians – Reframe any question to one that you want to answer
-  Sales Professionals – Develop case studies and metaphors that sell for you
-  Entrepreneurs and Business Owners – Prepare the perfect persuasive presentations on the go
Incidentally, notice that I put the deleted parts on the left of the audience and the parts I want the audience to connect with on their right. This conforms to their usual time line orientation and is exactly opposite to mine as I look at the audience. This is something many novice presenters get wrong as they calibrate to themselves rather than to their audience.
What makes this course different?
If you have been through the Persuasion Skills on Steroids Deconstructed process you already know how powerful a modelling tool that you have here. If you haven’t then let me give you a quick explanation of how this method of learning works.
- You can watch the videos through multiple perspectives.
- Through the eyes of the students, soaking in the content and noticing the impact of the persuasive techniques being used with you.
- As a fly on the wall concentrating on the system and noticing the strategic elements like the frames in place and the feedback cycles.
- Through my eyes seeing how I make decision and apply all those sneaky tools and techniques, especially since you will have a working knowledge of what I am doing through the notes that I supply.
- And most importantly through the “how can I apply this” filter.
You will find running though this material in this sort of way you will automatically start becoming more persuasive and integrating the stuff that you will learn. But obviously there is my normal caveat, this is not a magic bullet and to get the best from this you will need to practice.
With the PSOSD I am talking to an audience that already know something about Hypnotic Persuasion Skills for an afternoon. Here I am speaking with people that know nothing about me, what I do or anything about hypnotic persuasion skills for two days.
What’s in the box?
This course is coming with no frills or bonuses. The only reason you are seeing this page is because you have already bought products from me before. My assumption is that you already have a framework and some grounding to be able to make use of Hypnotic Presentation Skills Deconstructed.
You will get four video recordings recorded live, warts and all from a two day Presentation Skills Course. These recordings are live from the room. Sometimes the students talk over each other and they have strong Scottish accents. It was recorded in the heart of Glasgow so you can hear the emergency services drive past and occasionally you can hear people from outside. So if you want perfect quality recordings with people giving you the ideal responses then this is not a course for you.
The best thing for me about this sort of material is that it is close to real life. The students interrupt, they don’t understand the questions I ask them and give me unexpected answers. These recording are a live environment and you get the advantage of seeing things as they unfold rather than a clinical presentation where everything it planned to be note perfect.
You will also get two pdf reports covering the entire workshop. This is not a transcription and nor does it cover completely everything that I am doing. Just covering what I see as the main points the two reports together are close to 20 000.
Going through the recordings with the notes will take several days in total.
The heart of the course is in the notes.
Now that you have been through some of my persuasion material you already know the flexibility of these patterns, tools and concepts. The material in this course is ideally suited to you if you do any presentations, training or coaching. But this course will help in any application where you have an active audience (individual or a group) that you need to lead to specific overt objectives.
Lets give you some detail of the sort of things that are covered.

Are there any bonuses?
The short answer is only one big one. This is a massive amount to explore in this material. You can only get to this page if you have bought material from me before. Therefore you already have the foundation material you need to get the most from this course. There is seven ours of video and 20 000 words all of which you will want to think about, analyse and go through a few times. There is nothing that you need to enhance this product.
That said I think that students of this course will find a lot more material in the videos than I have deconstructed. I have visions of increasing this course based on customer feedback and interaction. I would love to added all the extra analysis people are inevitably going to do and add that to the reports. As such I will guarantee that you will have free updates for life.
