love this book, have had it for years, bought this one for my daughter as a gift, this book helped me in so many ways after i experienced clinical depression, to help teach me the right way to think about love and also taught me that my thoughts and beliefs about how to think of myself and others were pretty straight on, it was just the encouragement i needed to be and express my true self.

Thich Nhat Hanh writes things in an easy to digest manner. His teachings on love might require more than one read through and some practice to get the hang of, but is well worth the time spent studying. You don’t have to be Buddhist to learn from his writings…just open minded and willing to open your heart. His teachings on love apply to friends and family and even strangers…it teaches kindness.

I love Thay, as we call Thich Nhat Hanh in his community. All his books are great. I have been reading them for decades, and I started retreating with him and Sister Chan Khong, starting in 2001. I have even been to Plum Village, twice, though I live in Northern California.
