Master the art of writing & producing killer pop rock songs
In this class, you’ll learn everything you need to know about songwriting. Vince will walk you through every step of his process and explain every detail along the way.
You will learn to use your creative momentum to find your song ideas, create vocal and instrumental melodies, write captivating lyrics, record vocals and instruments, produce exciting transitions, master the pop rock arrangement, fill the sonic space, keep the audience engaged by introducing harmonies and countermelodies, craft the perfect hook, master the art of the edit, stack vocals, tune vocals, use frequency and dynamic processing, use effects such as chorus, reverb, and delay, and produce a professional final mix.
Vince will teach you his creative method of generating new song ideas while driving in the car. He’ll then teach you how to take those ideas back to the studio to produce a full song. You’ll learn how to choose the right vibe, tempo, and key for your song, and how to cleverly place your hook in the right vocal range to make your hooks memorable. You’ll see inside of Vince’s studio while he writes a brand-new song and makes decisions on how to take that song to the next level.

Vince Casas
As an artist, songwriter, producer, and former lead guitarist for Theory of Flight, Vince’s credit list includes music licenses with Nintendo Wii and Fox Sports, writing and producing pop music for national HOT AC radio with album distribution to Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Spotify, Pandora, and iTunes in conjunction with EMI, and a national coast-to-coast tour. Zappos.com commissioned Vince to write and produce Daniel Park’s “Shake it Like a Snow Globe” Album, which launched on the Zappos website as an exclusive for their customers. He spent a season sharing his pop commercial songwriting expertise as a TA in Ryan Tedder’s Studio.com Songwriting Class.
The Las Vegas Weekly called Vince’s music “captivating”, and a Robin Leach article commented about his live performance saying, “I was hooked within 3 songs”. His singles “City of Lights”, “Spinning”, “Sinister”, “Set the Night on Fire” and “Worthless Symphonies” can be heard on national CBS and college radio stations across the country.
Vince is a former member of The Recording Academy and has opened for artists such as Train, Sick Puppies, Zebrahead, Lit, Melee, Marcy Playground, and Imagine Dragons. With live performances on Fox and CBS news stations, as well as a Half-Time Performance at the UFL Championship.
Nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award for his work with Theory of Flight, Vince received a Vegas Rocks award for “Best Performing Artists”.
Vince holds a Master of Music in Music Technology from Southern Utah University, and a Bachelor of Science in Contemporary Music from Greenville College, with instrumental mastery in guitar and vocals including a deep background in music theory, songwriting, composition, and orchestration.
