Susan Beal is a craft writer and teacher in Portland, Oregon and the author of seven books, including Hand-Stitched Home, Sewing for all Seasons, Modern Log Cabin Quilting, Bead Simple, and Button It Up. She’s also the historian for the Modern Quilt Guild, a contributing editor at Stitch magazine, and the mother of two little children, Pearl and Everett. Susan loves to make all kinds of crafts, especially fun projects for her kids, from t-shirts to tote bags! She writes about things she likes and projects to make on her blog, West Coast Crafty.
